[Public-List] A4 coupler question

Hi everyone, I hope the summer is treating everyone well.  

After putting my A4 in gear there was a horrible grinding noise and the boat would barely move.  After some investigating I noticed all of the shaft coupler bolts had backed out and were lying in the bilge.  There does not seem to be room for a nut to secure them on the other side the coupler.  They just seem to screw into the unit?  

Anyone experience this before? Are there locking washers?
