[Public-List] Companion Way Steps Question

On the Lorrie Rose there is a two step frame which sets in hangers inside the bridge deck. This item rests on top of the horizontal engine cover aft a bit from the forward edge. Gravity holds them in place and they are easily removable. The third step is the horizontal engine cover and the fourth step is attached to the forward side of the vertical engine cover. I assumed that this was the arrangement on most of the older boats. Perhaps not.
