[Public-List] Companion Way Steps Question

Greetings,

On SImple Gifts (#249) the previous owner built what's basically a short
ladder with well proportioned steps. The top has fasteners that set into
two clips just inside the companion way. The ladder extends straight down
to the sole, passing just in front of the engine cover. Barrel bolts on the
left and right "feet" link up with short holes in the floor so the ladder
bottom stays put. It works great and is easy to move, which I do sometimes
while washing dishes.

I actually prefer it to the halfway steps system I've seen on some boats as
it seems more secure. I don't worry about steps breaking off or anything.
