Fellow Albergers,

Kirk here from Salsa, anchored in San Blas Panama. I've been a faithful reader of the mailing list over the years even though I haven't been contributing so much. Since completing my circumnavigation I've mostly been sailing around the Central Caribbean trying to avoid coming home! I'm writing now because I'm looking for crew for an offshore delivery and feel I'm offering a unique opportunity. Please feel free to re-post or forward this on to anyone you feel might have an interest.

The passage is on a very well equipped 50 foot Tayana FD-12 Cutter rigged sloop from La Paz Mexico to and through the Panama Canal. I'm looking for volunteer crew, so you pay your own way to and from the boat and I cover the rest. I have found multi-destination flights on Delta that would get you both ways from the D.C. area for around $600.

Anyone participating would need to book a flight into La Paz Mexico on or very close to March 30th with intentions of setting sail on April 1st. I intend to go non-stop well offshore and the passage should take about three weeks to Panama with a possibility to stay on another week or two through the Panama Canal onwards to San Blas, Panama. Anyone interested should email and tell me about your sailing experience, and why you would want come along.

Thanks!
-Kirk (Salsa #504, San Blas, Panama (www.SalingSalsa.com)
