I put 3/16" 1x19 wire on SURPRISE when I replaced her lifelines. They're
strong, comfortable to lean on, and are of course very strong.
I've seen people use 7x19 but I'd not recommend that. The finer strands in
7x19 will grab arm hairs and will not be nearly so durable.
