[Public-List] Aluminum mast treatment - Tremclad

A while back at our Club, a well known and respected member who had done a
number of restorations of boats used aerosol Tremclad Semi Gloss white on
this mast & boom instead of awlgrip. The mast looked great, fast forwarding
10 years later, it still looks great, with an occasional spray touchup of
the Tremclad.

He used 11 cans at about $12 CDN each for his 40 foot mast - pretty cheap
compared to Awlgriping; and the bonus, easy to touchup scrapes, unlike
awlgrip.

Just a thought.
