[Public-List] Electronic Ignition

Sometime in the '70s I added an electronic ignition to my Bosch ignition
'69 Volvo 142. Without the electronic ignition I could eke out 6K miles
between tuneups. With the electronic ignition at about 30K miles I had
problems. I'm being obscure because I don't remember if I had total
failure or something less. I correctly or incorrectly ascribed the problem
to point bounce due to a fatigued point spring. Replacing the points fixed
it. So,,, I got ~30K miles per tuneup vs. 6K. I may have gotten improved
performance, but I can't remember.

Hope this helps.
