Thank to all, especially Brook and Jeff. This is the stuff. I remember 
the article about bedding deck hardware. I look forward to well sealed 
deck hardware this spring and for a long time afterward

There both good article on bedding deck hardware with butyl caulking 
material and an online source that I have used.  Product works extremely 
well and is reasonably priced.
