It's probably overkill but I have used the larger Raymarine ST400+ for about 20 years without issues. It's not self-contained but the tradeoff is the bulkhead mounted display that doubles as a repeater for lots of useful data - bearing, course, speed, waypoint data, depth, etc.  It's designed for up to 13,000# displacement so unless I really have the Quest poorly trimmed,  it's not working very hard. Also the actuator is probably a little more bulletproof. Like others have suggested, it is less useful close hauled or dead downwind.
