I'll leave support beam issues for others, but 1st things 1st. Uniflites 
are infamous for hull blisters. Has your neighbor gone over the hull and 
is OK with what he has found?
34 or so footers were used by Natural Resources Police here in MD for 
quite a few years-80s-90s, I think.
In my view, that all adds up to a sketchy investment when initiating the 
hole in the water into which one pours money thing.
