Hi Maurice,
Last time I hauled, the straps were placed just forward or about even with
the forward lowers (for the forward one) and about 2 feet forward of the
rudder shoe. I've got a pic of her in the slings if you want it. I think
this is fairly typical for a full keel boat. I believe the straps could
have been spread out a bit and still be just fine. This is using a
TravelLift.
