Thanks friends,
Yesterday I was nervously changing the points in SURPRISE's engine,
expecting of course that something would go wrong. Before leaving the house
I took care to print the pages from the Chesapeake Association website which
listed the part numbers and specs for the various ignition parts...
When I was in full close combat with the engine, I thought I'd forgotten to
look up the spark plug gap. Right after I wrote to you folks, I
rediscovered that the gap is noted in bold letters right at the header of
the spark plug section of George's info page.
I reckon I couldn't see it because I was sure I'd do something wrong... When
everything was going well, I subconsciously found a way to create an
emergency for myself.
All turned out well. Thanks for the quick rescue responses!
Gord
