[Public-List] Spinnaker rigging, pole down haul

Hi Gord. 
You mentioned a using a horseshoe bail on the forward side of the mast. So the down haul and pole pivot like a hinge with the mast being the hinge pin. Do you use a block or additional hardware on the bail? How do you arrange the control line around the mast back to the cockpit? Double tailed for each jibe?

I agree... 1/4" is too thin ergonomically. 5/16" is better... And I'd 
suggest the cost of light weight line (polyester sheath with polypro core) 
is worth it. 

Rather than a foreguy, our pole gear is rigged with a trangulated spinnaker 
pole downhaul to the fwd face of the mast. That way we don't have to adjust 
it every time we adjust the spinnaker guy. 

Single sheets is fine in boats our size.
