I promise, I will use butyl next time on the chainplates as it sure is easy
to work with...The only thing I can see is if it's chilly, the stuff is a
bit thick so it can take some time to compress.  Maybe warm it first??? Or
work on a nice warm day :-)  For example, the #8s for the chainplate covers
could easily be stripped if too much torque was placed on them all at
once...
