[Public-List] Mast rake

This is related to the "what is vertical" thread. What is horizontal? I
want to paint a boot stripe parallel to the water line. How do I transfer
the waterline as seen when the boat is in the water to when the boat is on
the hard. With a level placed on cockpit floor and some fiddling with the
jackstand  screws, you can make the boat horizontal. Then you can play with
laser levels or hoses filled with water. But my boat like many Alberg 30s
doesn't exactly lie on her lines.  How do I block a boat so she's the same
horizontal as when she's in the water?
