All of my chain plates had different bends in them to make them exit the deck in the correct spot and have proper alignment with shrouds/stays. I think the only 100% straight one is the backstay chainplate.These boat sure weren't built to exact specifications.

Subject: [Public-List] More Chainplates
Afternoon;
I didn't want to hijack the Chainplates knee thread so thought I would ask afresh. Hull #592 - I have currently removed only the stbd forward chainplate and cut out the old soft knee. Couple of questions to start:
1/ the removed chainplate has a slight "S" bend in it that starts just above the top bolt hole. The bend offset is about 3/16". There is some deformation at the top of the knee so I am guessing this bend is NOT supposed to be there? Can anyone set me straight on what is supposed to be?
2/ since I have not removed the other chainplate yet are the other shroud chainplate all the same size? Etc?
Thanks!
