[Public-List] Backing Plates

The August 2016 issue of Practical Sailor has an article comparing backing
plates made from a variety of different materials.  Worth a look.  There
are a number of suitable choices.  Starboard is not one of them.  Regular
fender washers are not up to the task either.

I've got some work to do.  Guessing that i should start with the bow and
stern cleats and the winches.
