Congratulations on becoming the owner of a really nice boat, Bill. I'm not
anywhere near S.C.  but maybe I can help get you going in the right
direction.
You didn't say your boat number, but this is what I have on #220 (1967).
Different years, different long splices, so to speak.
Don't know which sheave is obviously not used, but...
1. The big sheave in the middle of the mast can be problematic. It's the
main halyard. If it looks like some sort of resinated composite material,
it's original. Upgrading to machined aluminum is encouraged. It's possible,
after upgrade, to use all rope for the main halyard. I kept mine wire,
which involves a rope to wire splice. The cheeks become loose (possibly
they were too loose originally) cured by drilling and tapping a 1/4" bolt
with lock nut in the side of the mast to force the whole mess together.
Otherwise the halyard jumps the sheave at really inopportune moments. Trip
up the mast for that one.
2. Block onthe crane is for spinnaker halyard
3. Block just under crane for jib.
4. On back side of mast, above entry point of main halyard, boom topping
lift. On my boat,another rope to wire splice. That can be easily changed to
all rope.
5. Cheek block on side of mast for pennant, wind sock, or whatever. I don't
use it.
The sheave jumping can be minimized by making sure you stand in line with
the mast while heaving or, especially, lowering.
That's what I've got.
