[Public-List] furling gear and spinnaker halyard

Sookie has a spinnaker and most of the associated gear.  It all seems to be
original to the boat.  Furling gear was installed in the mid 80's.  I
believe the spinnaker hasn't been used since.  I discovered why last year.
As many of you probably know, the spinnaker halyard interferes with the
upper parts of the furling gear.  Is there any way to rig a spinnaker
halyard on an original mast head that will not interfere with the furler?
