[Public-List] Stern tube

#114 has about an inch between the prop and the shaft log, which I assumed was normal. I have been putting a ring of sacrificial zinc there as well as a zinc cap on the end of the shaft. There’s not much more than a quarter inch between the screw that holds the cap on and the rudder. I’m in the habit of countersinking the zinc so the screw doesn’t protrude.

Perhaps I’ll have to get a 3 ½” cutless and machine it to the custom length for my boat.
