Stryaway Child had the original 1967 Ray Jefferson Company depth sounder
(with its own internal mercury battery and needle display) mounted on a
very similar swing out arm when we bought her. It worked well there for
several years, until an ill-timed wave sent me through it.

Mounted in the top of the panel is a Garmin 741 Chartplotter. Mounted below that is my VHF radio. There is also space for a redundant depth gauge, but I have not hooked it up.

But, wonder if it would be in the way. I already have a hole in the cabin bulkhead. Thought I should figure this out before I glass over it.
