A-30 sailors,

Has anyone ever rebuilt a wooden companionway sliding hatch? Or, know of someone who has? Thinking Mike Lehman here. Mine is very old, and deteriorating, on an earlier version of the boat, #162. Looking for some 'how-to' assistance here. particularly, the laminate on top is shot, and it is loose on the tracks. Can it be repaired with some kind of laminate? How do you make it snug on the tracks? Other options might be: anyone know of any of these available anywhere? Maybe off any older boats that are heading to boat heaven? What about the possibility of a newer fiberglass one, the kind on the newer boats? Would this work? re there any of these around? Question is here, would one of the newer fiberglass ones even fit the tracks or are they different sizes?

I realize I have several questions here and any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Brian Curry
