There was a discussion on location. Where is this meeting going to be held?

Subject: [Public-List] Meeting Tuesday Nov 15th 6PM AYC

Folks,

It has been brought to my attention that sending the following message to
the racing list may not reach the full set of interested Albergers. Please
excuse the rather late date of this email. The meeting takes place in about
thirty-six hours.

Jonathan

Please attend our meeting to discuss changes to the racing calendar for
2017 and beyond. Among the items on the agenda is replacing the NOOD as our
premier event with an additional regatta in the autumn.

The primary items to be discussed are:

After looking at the 2016 schedule and to better balance the
September/October regattas (currently Race to Oxford, Hammond Memorial,
Rankin Memorial, Race to/from Rock Hall):

1. With the EYC Boomerang as a long distance (42NM) overnight event,
consider dropping the PSA Moonlight race and have just one nighttime race.

2. Consider cancelling the Race to/from Rock Hall and in October, after the
Fall Cruise, have a two day Alberg 30 National Championship. The venue would
be similar to the proposed Annapolis Championship (day one windward/leeward
and day 2 a distance race of 10-12NM).

------------
In lieu of racing at the Annapolis NOOD, with a cost to enter at $230,
recommend establishing an Alberg 30 independent regatta, similar to the
Rankin Memorial Regatta, as the Annapolis Championship. The race would be
the weekend either before or following the Annapolis NOOD (likely in May)
and would use an Alberg 30 Association provided Race Committee, signal
boats, equipment, personnel and awards. The regatta would be:

On the first day there will be three (3) windward/leeward races in the
Annapolis racing area, if wind conditions support.

On day two, there will be a distance race, of approximately eight (8) to ten
(10) nautical miles and will be using government marks in the Annapolis
racing area. This race will have a higher weighting factor (recommend 2x
point scoring).

It would be a high point scored regatta.

There is no requirement for owner/driver. This allows for previous race
boats that maybe not actively racing today to put together a team to compete
in the regatta.
