[Public-List] Stephen Gwyn Water Tank follow-on question

My 1979 A-39 has a water tank in the v berths with an aluminum top fastened to angles attached to the hull.  I'd rather not have the aluminum top, but my present mode has th boat at the mooring most hours in the week.
