exuberant was on this hard for more than 2 year. nobody made an offer.
I made a bid and the yard say me: ok.
I traslate the boat in Florida, I repared the damage and sail to Mexico.
the problem was the mast. isn't the right mast. I need to cut and adjust evetthinghs.
for that reason I asked if somebody have the original rigging plan.

Exuberant is still in a salvage yard in Mendon, MA (Certified Sales, Inc.) last I heard, with a hole in the keel from storm damage. I had a survey done on her a couple of years ago. How did it end up in Mexico??

Quick question. Is your boat powered by a 2 cylinder Yanmar diesel? specifically a 2QM15? If yes can you tell me what transmission is on it and what is you prop shaft diameter? Is the final drive straight out or is it off set ? Did you fit it yourself and how much work was involved in the converting the engine mounts from the A4?
I ask because I am looking at a second hand Yanmar and wondering if it will fit my A30 without changing transmission etc.. Any help and advice would be appreciated.

Hi Greg,
We have that diesel in our boat.? From what I know the motor comes with an attached transmission.? It's a Kanzaki-Carl Hurth KBW10.? They call it a reduction gear.? It was in the boat when we got it.? What I can tell you is it will move the boat at a solid 6.2-6.6 knots.? With a clean bottom it will do 7.? The one drawback with that motor is it's noise.?? When it idles it sounds like some one is beating it with a hammer.? It will smooth out at higher RPMs but it still is loud.? Don't know off the top of my head the other answers.

Tim,
My solo standards are about like this :

45-60 F - sleeping bag
<45 F - hatch boards in
No hatch boards on the recent Fall Cruise! I lit my stove (A Cole wood
stove) twice on the Fall Cruise just because I had the wood and wanted to,
but did not need it.
Without the wood stove, < 35 F gets a bit cold. With the wood stove you
still need a good sleeping bag, but you can warm the cabin up quickly in
the morning, and have a pleasant evening below. I would not want a
self-feeding stove because of the risk of smoking and CO poisoning.
I use seasoned oak that I split and cut to 3 or 4 inch lengths on a table
saw, then spit again into little 1/2 inch or less chunks.
You are welcome to come see my installation - I will be in the water this
year too. Let me know.

We have used both a cooler on the cabin sole and the ice box. The con on the cooler in addition to the deck space is your stuff sitting in melt water. If you keep the ice box drain clear it stays mostly dry. About 6 years ago I did a 'temporary' fix by lining the inside of the icebox with styrofoam. This past fall cruise I was out for 9 days solo and fed it ice 4 times and had ice left to get stuff home
