[Public-List] Head plumping

I’ve cracked PVC head fittings twice by overtightening the fastener... but when gently snugged up as they should be done, have never had a problem.   Oh what a horrible sound is that little ‘tick’ of a breaking flange...

Head ‘Plumping’?   Is that what happens to the skipper after doing well in a race... a stage past or perhaps before ‘head swelling’?
