Jonathan, if I recall correctly, #262 has aluminum spreaders, therfore any input relative to wooden spreaders may not apply. You need to take measurments. Also, I might have installed stainles steel splint collars on the stays below the tip of the spreaders to prevent any downward movement of the spreaders. Those should be small enough to fit inside the rubber or leather type of booths.

Jonathan,

I replaced the spreaders on Southern Serenity about a year ago. I couldn't
figure out a way to make the rubber style boots work. The wooden spreaders
are just too wide at the ends. So I just kept the cloth style that were
installed previously and I think they do fine.

There are also Perimeter Spread Boots (

which have a squarish end and cloth rather than rubber.

I have the cloth ones, and they were easy to install, have held up well 3 or more years, an I think are kinder to the Genoa
