[Public-List] Re anchors and racing

During the day, you could hoist an inverted black cone as required by the
COLREGS, but don’t know if anyone would understand.  Have never seen one
being used.  Hardly ever seen a black ball on moored vessels during the
day.   The USCG Eagle has one displayed while moored outside Annapolis last
Thursday.

At night, the steaming light should do it.

Given that a fishing boat just recently got himself stuck about halfway
across a J105 at Tolly Point, mouth if the Severn River Annapolis, you
might need a howitzer to get their attention.
