Marcelo,
Don't believe that you need worry about the screws going into the aluminum
casting.
Had to deal with one at the other end of the boom last summer. The cast
boom end
piece, held in place by five rivets, came off the boom. Drilled out the
remains of the
rivets. Drilled and tapped the end piece casting. Secured the end piece
casting to
the boom with five 1/4"-20 bolts. Used Tef-Gel to prevent corrosion.
Fully satisfied
with the result.
