[Public-List] Binoculars

I am in complete agreement...  higher magnification might be nice, but it’s tough to beat a good pair of 7x50’s for field of vision and light gathering.   I reckon good binoculars are a safety device on board, and one of the key parts of your navigation kit.

    I agree with George; plus at night is when binoculars really come into
    their own and the only thing better than 7X50s then are light amplifying
    (green image) or infra red.
    Fujinons will spoil you as far as optics, West marine Hawaiian jobbies
    are more than adequate.
