Good morning...

170’s were usually made of lighter cloth which tends not to survive well if in daily use.  Dacron sails lose the blush of youth with regard to performance after 3-4 seasons, although they may retain strength for decades.   A 150 is s good all round sail you can use up over 20 kts of wind.  One of those and a working jib is a good combo.
