 It's time again for the Kid's Cruise!
Remember to bring a kid.  If you don't have one, bring a neighbor's kid.
If you can't find a kid to bring, you'll just have to act like one.  There
will be lots of swimming, possibly a greased watermelon contest, and a
beach bonfire.  Dogs, brats, smores and a slightly oily watermelon will be
provided  but please feel free to bring anything you might like to
contribute.   We are a little short on folding chairs so bring em if you
got em.  It's always easier to eat sitting in a chair.
*When*
June 2-3   However, I do try to get out on the hook to meet any early birds
Friday evening.
*Where*
We will once again be having it in the Rhode River in the first cove to
port after Green #3.  The back up location, depending on wind direction,
will be just outside the mouth of Cheston Creek  which is just west of
Cheston Pt. in West River after passing the mouth of Rhode River.  I will
be monitoring channel 16 so check in as you enter West River to confirm the
location. If the back up location is used, one word of caution,  Cheston
Point, the spit of land that divides Cheston Creek
and the Rhode River has a rather large shoal in front of it. It is shown well
on most charts but is not marked by any navigational aids.

For families with logistical challenges that might make arrival by car
necessary, there is parking and water access at Carr's Wharf. The address
is 1001 Carrs Wharf Rd. Edgewater, MD 21037.  It is a county park so
technically it closes at dark.  We left a vehicle there overnight year
before last without issue.  Once there, If you need to be picked up call my
cell (410)271-1836, and we'll get a boat over to pick you up.
