[Public-List] Public-List Digest, Vol 3727, Issue 2

Unfortunately my fuel tank is not in the original location, it is located directly under the cockpit floor and directly over the stern tube and dripless fitting. Apparently the cockpit floor had issues so it was cut out and replaced. While it was out the Atomic 4 was removed and the Yanmar diesel and interfering fuel tank was installed. Tomorrow I will try to measure the fuel tank to see if I can cut out a large enough section of the cockpit floor to remove the tank and next week I will try to get my boat hauled at a DIY boat yard. Thanks to all who have responded, the information is giving me hope!

I replaced the six inch inspection port in the cockpit sole with a 12 by sixteen approx hinged hatch cover. This gives me access to the back of the engine, drain valves, stuffing box and stern tube. It works really well and has given us no problems. I have considered putting a fuel tank under there also. Jonathan Whittingham. EMMY.
