Did the same job just last summer.  The gas pipe used to create the riser
had rusted thruough at the top of the elbow.  Reaching through the deck
plate in the cockpit sole and using a hacksaw I just cut the flexible pipe
that joined the rigid exhaust portions to the muffler.  After that I
removed the rigid pipes while still joined to the manifold.  This allowed
me to judiciously apply penitrant and leverage more deirctly as needed in
romoving the flange bolts.  The entire job was done in a day.  Morer Marine
has new water injector section and flanges.  The rest is from home depot.
