[Public-List] Cockpit hatches

Hi All,

Just to be clear, with the Tempress hatch, the flange tapers so that you really don’t stub your toe but in all fairness, it is raised a bit. I’ve never found it to be a trip hazard and for me, the benefits of access to the transmission dip stick, the rear of the motor, the stuffing box and coupling FAR outweigh the thought of doing without. In my case it would not be practical as my 3 cylinder diesel pretty much fills the engine compartment with absolutely no hope of reaching over the top to get to the stuffing box.
