[Public-List] Stem head fitting

We just recently sold our Alberg 30 here in Cairns, Australia after crossing over to the dark side and purchasing a catamaran.

Tropica is one of the last Albergs to be produced and was sailed out to Australia from Canada about 6 years ago.

We’ve sailed Tropica up and down the Queensland coast in every kind of weather and she has handled like a dream.

You can understand our dismay then, when this morning we bumped into the new owner of Tropica who told us that the cast aluminium stemhead broke just below the forestay roller furler. Fortunately he was able to turn the vessel downwind quickly and the mast stayed upright while he tied the spinnaker down.

So my question - can you still source a cast aluminium stemhead for the Alberg 30’s?

It looks like it's cast as one piece comprising a large triangular inset the rides up over the gunnels with a large toggle fitting at the end.

Any help most appreciated.

Fair winds,

Shaun
