[Public-List] Stem head fitting

Good day -

Edson in the USA supplied many of the castings. If you catch them on a good day (and send a photograph) they may look through their collection of patterns and that could result in finding your stem head fitting.

Because they were made specifically for the Alberg 30, and because our boats have been out of production for so long, I would say that is the only way you’d get a new one.

You could have the existing fitting welded. A skilled machine shop may have a welder who can identify the alloy then do a good job of the repair. I think that may be the route you should explore.

Fortunately he was able to turn the vessel downwind quickly and the mast stayed upright while he tied the spinnaker down.
