[Public-List] Deck Hull Seal

What is your hull number?

On the later boats, the deck was joined to the hull with a strip of 
fiberglass soaked in resin. It can leak if cracked, but isn't usually 
the case.

More likely culprit is the screws holding the teak rail or the bolts 
holding the genoa track. I've also found cases on my boat (#543) where 
the deck gelcoat was cracked where it turned up from the deck to the 
rail, and those cracks were leaking. Calypso was built in the first oil 
crisis and Whitby sometimes skimped on the resin.
