[Public-List] Public-List Digest, Vol 3994, Issue 1

I recorded this quite some time ago. I have a 28 hp Yanmar and the original two blade prop which I think is a 13/8. I tried a three blade prop for a short while but I much prefer the two blade. I am jealous of your electric motor!  It would suit my sailing requirements perfectly, except for the initial conversion costs.
            RPM/knots:         - 2600/5.3         -2800/5.5         -3000/5.8         - 3600/6.3

I'm closing in on Ginseng's electric repowering project design and am
looking for input on prop RPM needed to reach hull speed.  This data
will assist  me in specifying the optimal motor speed reduction ratio.
My prop is a two bladed type marked "13 8" that I imagine is fairly
common on our craft from Whitby.
Any data or advice you are willing to share would be greatly valued.
  Dave
