Jeffrey,

Take a look at http://alberg30.org/boat/numbers.html for information 
about boat numbers. 306450 sounds like a serial number: 30 feet, built 
in 64, hull number 50. According to the boat history spreadsheet (see 
the bottom of that page) that boat was originally Jack Martin's boat.

The number 298809 doesn't sound like an Alberg 30 number to me.
