Don't underestimate the pole solution. I have a single pole, made by Custom Marine Products (https://www.custommarineproducts.com/solar-panel-mounting-kits.html <https://www.custommarineproducts.com/solar-panel-mounting-kits.html>), with a 140 watt panel made by Kyocera. It is mounted on the starboard aft quarter and is almost never shaded. It supplies all the solar electricity I need. But if I needed more, I could mount a second pole on the port side.
By the way, my pole-mounted solar panel survived a 70 mph squall (as measured by NWS radar) with no damage.
