Hi there
I think that the amount of money spent on paint is dependant on what you want and if the boat is to be yours for life. It's the law of diminishing returns. The more you spend, the more you loose when it comes time to sell. I saw a beautiful Alberg for Sale in Oakville last year. No effort had been spared including re masting. The boat went for $12,000 I think. All the work and that's all the owner got for it.
For me it has to be on a budget. I'm doing it myself using roll and tip. I was going to use interlux perfection 2 pac but it isn't available in Canada now. I'll probably go with Epiphanes instead as Gord has piqued my interest. I also have an old hinterhoeller 25 to paint on a shoestring so I may look intothe rustoleum marine.
Thanks for the tips.
