[Public-List] Hull painting

Painting can cost as much as you want to spend apparently.  I sanded mine
myself, once over with an electric sander and then using wet/dry sandpaper
by hand.  Didn't take too much time on it.  I rolled on 2 coats of Marine
Rustoleum in Navy Blue and it still looks great 4 years later and has been
in the water for its 3rd season in a row.  Total cost at about $35/quart,
using 2 quarts was about $75.  I wouldn't spend thousands of dollars on
topside painting, just my 2 cents … ;).  Just don't paint in 90 degree
heat.  I painted it outside, one coat each afternoon and didn't have any
trouble with dust, etc., it drys quickly.
