Hi,

R Kirk, the choice of stainless was based on availability.
Bronze would have been my first choice, but bronze stock
would have taken at least two weeks to show up, possibly more.
Stainless should be fine. Lots of people, myself included have
bronze propellers on stainless shafts, so I'm not too worried
about bronze fittings connecting to the stainless shaft.
