Anyone installing LED lighting on a boat needs to be aware of FCC Part 15
regulations regarding unintentional radiators of RF energy (spurious
emissions in the radio spectrum that cause interference.) Cheap, untested,
and non-compliant lighting can wreak havoc on your boat's electronics. Back
in 2018 the Coast Guard put out a warning on non-compliant LED lighting
used in marine applications.

The Coast Guard alert also walks through a simple testing procedure to see
if your lighting causes problems (at least in the VHF portion of the radio
spectrum).
