In going about refinishing our companionway hatch I recalled that someone
brought up the subject of removal. I found the easiest way to accomplish
this is to remove one track and the whole thing lifts off nicely. No trying
to get a right angle screwdriver somewhere where it doesn?t fit.

Not in yet, working on getting it ready. Tracks are screwed in from above.
You have to take off the cover to get at the back end of the track but it?s
pretty straightforward.
