Hi Wade, thank you so much for your interest. I will definitely make an effort to respond but as a technical writer I suck. In my case a picture or even a short video would be worth a million words. If I could text someone younger and with more modern technical skills some pictures or videos that they could post on the website that would help me immensely.  I have tried (unsuccessfully) posting pictures on the website and believe me I fully appreciate the reasoning for not opening up the can of worms regarding posting pictures directly to this site and this is in no way a complaint, but my mind bogs down rapidly when I start to write down my hints. See, I am already blithering. I will do my best but be patient. :-)

Thanks Daniel,

The recent experiences of the solo sailor going to Hawaii made me dig that
book up. I did just download it as a pdf recently, so it is around on the
internet somewhere. Good to hear that the Alberg 30 can be sailed this way
( of course it can, right?). I am planning on working this out the way you
did, through trial and error. Do you have any hints for us? That seems like
it would be a good addition to the Alberg  body of knowledge.
