Everyone on both boats said they were uninjured. With a demolished cockpit (toe rail, both coamings, pushpit, solar panel and tracker, cleats, primary winches, severed backstay, splintered companionway hatch...) and more (fallen severely bent mast, damaged stem casting, damaged hull/deck joint at point of impact, possibly damaesd forestay/furler,...) it is looking to all who have seen the boat as a total loss.I am working through the aftermath with my insurance company.Question: I am asked for a photo of a serial number on my A30. Does a 1968 A30 have such a serial number? It seems to me that this re-dates the H.I.N. system. What a sad mess.David Tessier, #319------------------------------Message: 2Date: Fri, 12 Aug 2022 17:33:49 -0400From: americo silva <picomar1957 at gmail.com>To: Alberg 30 Public List -- open to all	<public-list at lists.alberg30.org>Subject: Re: [Public-List] A30 struck by power boat: Serial number on	pre-liner A30Message-ID:	<CAMaMEAAzE5z7YgPoertLbbbPtUy=FxBAW=G=K61trrSA0q7Evg at mail.gmail.com>Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8"Get a dremel tool and put the serial number on the transom where itnormally would be take a picture of it sent to insurance company all theywant is to see the numberOn Fri., Aug. 12, 2022, 5:14 p.m. David Tessier via Public-List, <public-list at lists.alberg30.org> wrote:> ?Whilst an anchor one night recently, my A30 #319 was struck ?by a power> boat and severely damaged. Some other early 19 pre-1968 models have a builders plate riveted into the cockpit molding. Don?t know how they decided which is which. Dolce (1968) has/had the number on the transom.Glenn BrooksSent from my iPhone> On Aug 12, 2022, at 11:14 AM, David Tessier via Public-List <public-list at lists.alberg30.org> wrote:> > ??Whilst an anchor one night recently, my A30 #319 was struck ?by a power boat and severely damaged.
