Boat Insurance Options?
    Do you have home owners insurance or renters insurance or an automobile policy?  Home owners or renters insurance might already cover your liability and be acceptable for the marina (mine was). Also, you might be able to attach an umbrella liability insurance policy to an automobile insurance policy.     Please let us no how this turns out, I am anxiously following. Progressive was not interested in insuring me because my boat “is greater than 30 years old and I live on it.”  Two strikes against me. Perhaps the third is my hurricane ally location in Louisiana.

Progressive insures 1966 #145 for about $150 a year with the marina listed as specially covered.

My marina (near Annapolis) requires a minimum $300k P&I (protection and
indemnity) and the marina named as an additional insured. I was told the
marina's insurance underwriter requires this from all slipholders.

Thanks for the information. I will look at it from my side and see what I
