[Public-List] winterizing

   My engine is fresh water cooled - the thermostat is in the fresh water
   "circuit."  The fresh water has anti freeze in it all the time. When
   winterizing I put anti freeze into the Raw water system, which has no
   thermostat - Gordon White, Brigadoon

   I always thought that if the engine is cold the thermostat will be
   closed.

   So the antifreeze will bypass the motor and go aright to exhaust
   cooling.
   Is this not the case?
